Where can we buy Garden Fresh Farms products in addition to joining the CSA?
Our products are currently in grocery stores. If you do not see our brand, ask your
local grocer to stock Garden Fresh Farms products.
Do you sell equipment to set up an Aquaponics operation at home.
We are focused on commercial growing to feed cities of people and do not have a home model.
Tour?
We are a working farm and cannot accommodate drop in visits. We no longer offer public tours.
This year we will not be offering tours to the general public. Instead Dave has agreed to make himself available for large group speaking engagements to explain Aquaponics and Sustainable Agriculture. Speaking engagements will be announced on this site, Twitter and LinkedIn.
We do not offer daily tours or drop ins. Due to pest problems we do not have tours during the warmer months.
Indoor urban agriculture is a new and exciting field and we are overwhelmed with all the requests to answer questions, internships and mentoring. We cannot keep up with all the daily personal requests and still operate a farm, so we may not be able to answer every email. We are not a school, mentoring group or education facility. We do sell consultation services at an hourly rate.
Do you sell via farmers markets?
We harvest everyday to get you the freshest product. Farmers Markets are weekly events and don’t
match up well with daily harvests and we are all year round vs. farmers markets being seasonal.
Can you teach me how to start an Aquaponics operation in my home.
There are many fine organizations on the web to get help and advice for a home adventure. Read
several sources since there is a lot of wrong information on the web.
Volunteers:
Personally our family volunteers a tremendous amount of time each week to a variety of causes we believe are important. At this time we do not have the ability to take on additional volunteering of our time. We understand that the cause you may be working on is very important and worthwhile, but we simply do not have the capacity to take on any additional volunteering.
We do have a place for volunteers here at the farm for those who like to practice their green thumb skills or are interested in learning about indoor urban agriculture. Volunteers will learn by doing and be required to complete a Confidentiality Agreement, acknowledge they are working with patent pending equipment and methods.
We have some flexibility but generally we are looking for people who would like to help in the following capacity;
- Work a set schedule either specific days or portions of a day each week.
- 18 or older
- Spring, Summer & Fall we have an outdoor garden with cherry trees, raspberries, mint and raised beds.
- Fish care: feeding, cleaning tanks, water measurements
- Water lab work
- Micro greens
- Mushrooms
- Compost
If interested, please email us with your name, hours or days you could volunteer, special skills you may have or special interests you may have in urban farming. We will review all requests as time allows and let you know what may be available.

Garden Fresh Farms
Opened another tour hour for the March 9th public tour of Garden Fresh Farms. See Aquaponics up close and learn about indoor agriculture.
Nuri,
Our products are at Mississippi Market, Whole Foods and Valley Natural.
You can also join our CSA anytime, year round and get fresh products (picked that day) and also sign up for Rainbow Trout and Tilapia. We also have “Fish Market” days through out the year where we harvest a tank and sell whole fish that same day.
Check out our other website http://www.gardenfreshfarms.org for additional pick up locations, menus and recipes.
